Principal Duties:

1. Provides expertise, ensuring seamless, quality service delivery;

2. Ensures ongoing service levels for customer by facilitating problem resolution;

3. Participates in performing analysis of business and customer requirements;

4. Provides detailed IT consulting and manages customer expectations;

5. Analyzes business needs, processes, relations, and constraints, providing expertise for assigned area, including deep knowledge of telecommunications applications;

6. Assists in developing business requirements for IT requests in the context of continual knowledge of customer needs; Assists with monitoring of problem resolution, and communication of status and solutions to customer/business process owners;

7. Provides telecommunications consultancy, including the design and management of telecommunications infrastructure projects from feasibility study, through detailed design and contract preparation to implementation and commissioning.

8. Provides professional direction of the work of engineers to support project managers and company objectives to achieve an end product that:

   1. Meets User needs

   2. Is delivered against agreed quality, safety and environment standards

   3. Conforms to professional and recognized engineering standards

   4. Meets all safety requirements

   5. Supports Project Managers in understanding, development, control and execution of their projects and ensures delivery to the User to the standard expected by the Company;

   6. Manages projects and issues simultaneously in line with management priorities;

   7. Assists in the identification of areas of Specialist Engineering input and provides, where appropriate, the resource when supporting Project Managers on technical issues;

   8. Provides input to technical bid documents and estimates.

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications / Electrical / Electronics or equivalent Engineering field.

Qualifications /Technical Skills :

1. 10 years experience, with at least 6 years as a TelecommunicationsEngineer.5 to 7 years telecommunications system engineering experience, and delivering and supporting telecom solutions.

2. High degree of technical knowledge needed to engineer solutions for the computing and communications environment.

3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work well with a wide variety of people with varying technical skills sets and business knowledge, plus technical writing. Organizational skills, to conduct systems and resource planning, estimating, and tracking.

4. Capacity to create diagrams and documenting configuration and structure of all devices including cabling with their respective termination locations. 

5. Project time management skills to manage activity definition, sequencing, duration estimation, development and schedule control. Strong customer service skills to deliver quality results in a demanding environment.

6. Writing skills, to communicate information effectively to customers, managers, and technical staff.

7. Must have full life-cycle experience of scoping, analyzing, planning, designing, implementing, testing and releasing enterprise scale telecommunications systems and solutions.

8.  Network and communications planning experience essential. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities;

9. Ability to analyze operational requirements and assess information technology and capacity requirements;

10. Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management; Knowledge of a broad range of relevant telecommunications applications, appliances, and equipment;

11.  Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise;

12. Ability to design, develop, and implement integrated hardware/software systems solutions to organizational requirements; Able to use structured problem solving skills and available tools to quickly evaluate problems, identify root cause, action plan, impact and resolution options. 

13. Must be customer-focused and able to meet customer demand for sector knowledge and expertise.

14.  Must possess the ability to apply specialist engineering techniques to progress
